Furio is now 2 months old (well 10 weeks old today technically).

We had his 2 month check up yesterday with the doctor.

Furio is doing great and getting so big!

He now weighs 13 pounds and 4 ounces and he is 25 inches long.

He did have to get his first round of shots. So that wasn’t too fun, but he took it like a man. I think he would have tried to “walk it off” if we had let him loose.

We are enjoying our little man so much. He makes us so happy.

Last night he gave us his first little giggle.

I have yet to catch one of his little smiles on film, but hopefully we will soon.

Nothing beats coming home to his little gummy smile after a long day at work.

Happy 26th birthday sweetie!  This has been a crazy year but, we made it through.  I agree that becoming a family was definitely my favorite part!  I love that lil’ guy more and more each day and I thank God he has such an amazing mother

Happy 26th Birthday Benjamin!

We’ve been through so many changes this year.

Some good… Some bad… Some amazing.

I have to say, my favorite part of the last 12 months was going from a couple to a family.

You’re such a good Daddy and Husband and a great rolemodel for Furio.

He’s such a lucky little boy to have a Daddy like you and I’m such a lucky Wife!

You always wanted to be a Super hero and now you are to one little guy.

I love you more and more everyday and I can’t wait to see what this next year will bring for us. You never know, it may be just as eventful!

I can’t believe that Furio is already one month old.

We were warned that he would grow up quickly… but I had no idea it would be this quick.

At his one month check up Furio was 11 lbs. 6 oz. and 23 inches long.

He is currently in the 85th percentile for his age and healthy as a little horse.

He’s such a handsome guy and we just can’t get enough of him.

He’s already starting to give us little smiles here and there and he loves playing and hanging out on his tummy.

I have a hard time remembering that he’s brand new. It feels like he’s been a part of us forever.

It’s so fun seeing what traits he got from Ben and what he got from me coming out in his little personality.  He loves warm water just like his Daddy, but he loves having his feet bare, just like his Mom.

We get a lot of questions about his eyes. As of right now they are navy blue and have been since birth. Both Ben and I have hazel eyes, but we do both have some blue eyed family members, so Furio’s eyes may stay blue.

We are so proud of our little man and look forward to watching him grow and learn.

I will try to update regularly on his progress and check back often for new pictures.

We look forward to introducing our little man to everyone and creating some new family memories.

In the last year . . .

• I’ve been ‘let go’ from 2 jobs.  One of which I had spent almost 4 years at.
• We found out Nikki was pregnant
• We moved (first time for me)
• I’ve begun working from home
• We had a baby

I don’t think I’ve had such an eventful 12 months, in all my life.

Anyways, this blog thingy should get updated more often now that we have something ( our handsome lil’ guy ) to blog about.  I’ll be making a few tiny updates to the site as well.

He’s already measuring 15 ounces and about a week ahead right now.  We got to get a good look at his little heart beating away and the ultrasound tech said he has a “beautiful heart”.   He’s still very active and wiggly and growing very quickly.  We can’t wait to meet him, we’re so excited!

The baby has almost tripled in size and now looks like a human!   We’re still seeing a high heart rate of 162 beats per minute.  Ben’s favorite part is getting to hear the heartbeat so loud and clear.   The baby was very wiggly and active, which was fun to watch and is my favorite part.  We’re getting excited to find out if we have a little boy or a little girl in there and we are hoping for a gender prediction at our next appt. in early March.

Also, we are taking guesses if you have a gender prediction for us.   So far ‘girl’ seems to be the most popular guess.  Here are a couple new pictures of our little bean, it’s fun to compare to the pictures from last month.

As some of you may not know we have been waiting for this moment ever since the day we got married.  It’s been a long wait (2 years), but we know that it is not in our hands.   At this point things looks good and we hope they continue to go well.   We had a 2nd doctor’s appt. on 1/9 and there was a good strong heartbeat.   The ultrasound machine predicts a girl based on the heart beats per minute.   At this point it is still a 50/50, but we will be tickled pink (no pun intended) with whatever we are blessed with.   Here is the baby’s first little pictures, looks more like a little blob then a baby, but we should have a better picture to share in another 4 weeks.   Until then, enjoy!

We started the celebration off early with Ben’s family by going out to the Macaroni Grill then back to our house for some cheesecake action.  Grandpa Rollier was able to join us too, so that was neat-o.  Ben got some really neat stuff (he’s checking out the new Wii games as I’m typing,  just like a kid in a candy store I tell ya).

Today (later on that is, as we should be in bed now) we will probably sleep in a bit, find a yummy breakfasting spot and maybe do some comic book shopping.  Should be a nice day together, I love those!  It’s so strange to think that we are 25.  That’s silly, a 1/4 of a century old.   One of the many many things that I love about Ben is that no matter how old he gets in many ways he still has the heart of a child.  It’s such a neat thing to experience that on a day to day basis, especially considering the world we live in.  He’ll make such a great Daddy some day (hopefully some day soon!).

To my hot hubby, happy birthday baby.  I hope that every wish you made comes true and that we have 3/4 of a century more beautiful birthdays together.  You make my life and I’m so lucky to have such a great husband!  You are the love of my life, my best friend and the best husband a girl could ever want.  I hope you have a great birthday this year and every year!
